Breed: Mini Lop
Sex: Male (neutered)

Snowy is a lovely rabbit who came to us from less than ideal conditions and is now enjoying having the space to move around properly and be a rabbit.
On arrival, Snowy had nasal discharge, so a nasal swab was taken to identify the bacteria and select the most appropriate antibiotics. He responded well to treatment, but mild staining around his nostrils persisted. Further investigations were carried out, including skull X-rays and endoscopy of his nasal passages, to check for any permanent changes. Thankfully, the imaging was clear, and it is thought the staining is due to his very flat face and is more noticeable because of his white fur. Adopters should be aware that he may be prone to future respiratory flare-ups. Full veterinary notes will be provided.
Snowy also had a small molar spur burred, which should now be managed with a hay-based diet. He does sometimes leave uneaten caecotrophs, likely due to his very flat face making it difficult for him to reach them normally.
Despite these issues, Snowy is a friendly, relaxed and affectionate bunny, described by our vet as “charming”.
Snowy is looking for a home with at least one other neutered and vaccinated rabbit. He is castrated, microchipped and fully vaccinated, including with Yuravac, and is ready to start bonding.
Minimum housing requirements: Permanent 24/7 access to an enclosure at least 3x2m. This must be bunny-proofed and predator proof. Snowy can live outdoors or indoors.
Adoption fee: Minimum donation of £100
Please read our rabbit advice pages prior to applying to adopt.
