Ruby came into our care in January 2026 from less than ideal conditions and is now ready to find her forever home.
Ruby is EC positive and has received two courses of treatment for this. The slight head tilt she did have has resolved, however she does continue to drink and urinate more than most rabbits. She doesn’t require any ongoing medication, but is looking for a home with an understanding or experience of e.cuniculi. She needs a bunny friend who has also previously been exposed to EC or an adopter who understands that EC can spread between rabbits.
Being a rex, Ruby is also prone to sore hocks. Providing her with an area of vet bed really helps keep this in check, so this is something else she will need in her new home, as well as regular checking of her feet and applying cream when needed.
She is a lovely rabbit with a great personality – friendly, happy and sweet. Despite all she’s been through, she takes everything in her stride!
Full vet history from ourselves will be shared with any potential adopters. Ruby is spayed, fully vaccinated including Yurvac, and microchipped.
Minimum housing requirements: Permanent 24/7 access to an enclosure at least 3x2m. This must be bunny-proofed and predator proof. Ruby can live indoors or outdoors.
