Chipotle came into our care from a large ‘accidental’ breeding case, along with 9 other hamsters.
Chipotle is a very active hamster with lots of character. She loves to forage, play in her sand bath, and run on her wheel, so needs a lot of enrichment.
She is ok with light handling but can be uncertain and a bit jumpy and VERY quick so care should be taken and only really when necessay.
She’ll thrive with an adopter who can give her the space she needs to do her own thing.
Minimum housing requirements:
100x50cm minimum enclosure size, with at least 6 inches of suitable substrate for burrowing, a minimum 20cm diameter wheel, large sand bath, multichamber hide and lots of enrichment.
