A Christmas Cheer: Volunteers Come Together For Festive Fun!

Tiny Paws MCR volunteers sitting around the table with a spread of food and Christmas crackers

Our first volunteer Christmas dinner

Saturday, December 2nd marked a special day as six out of our eight fantastic volunteers gathered at our home in South Manchester for our first-ever volunteer social event and Christmas meal! We had an afternoon filled with laughter, making new friends, and, of course, lots of love stories about our furry friends.

Suzi and I got to work on the food while Nat and new volunteer Meg cracked on with the normal Saturday morning volunteer tasks before we were Joined by Beth, Fran, Kirsty, and Nicky accompanied by cakes and drinks to share. Sadly TJ and Liz were not able to make it.

The afternoon started with everyone getting to know each other and talking about their animal companion journey. We had stories of Rats, Rabbits, Hamsters and even Horses!

Next, we all sat down to a tasty vegan roast dinner with each volunteer receiving a present of a badge, sticker, and warm Tiny Paws beany hat. With so much love for animals and good food, there was no shortage of things to talk about.

We all agreed it was a great time and we plan to organise more fun times throughout next year.

A Festive Cheer to all

We want to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all our volunteers for all their continued hard work, without whom, running Tiny Paws would be much less fun, and far more stressful.

We also want to thank all our regular donors in Tiny Paws Pals, our amazing fosterers and adopters, and everyone else who contributed to a successful 2023
