Cashew & Pecan

Species: Guinea Pigs
Sex: Female (spayed)
Approx DOB: January 2024
Arrived: 20/07/2025
Status: Available for adoption
Health: Cashew had a urinary stone removed on 17/09 and requires a low calcium diet. Pecan has had no health problems.

Cashew (fuzzy hair) & Pecan (smooth hair) came into our care in July 2025 after a change in their previous human’s circumstances.

We have had both girls spayed to remove the risk of ovarian cysts and uterine tumours common in guinea pigs, and they have recovered perfectly!

Cashew had a urinary stone removed in mid-September and has been doing great on a low calcium diet since – no pellets, just hay, forage and low calcium fresh foods (mostly lettuce). Pecan happily shares the same diet and they will both enthusiastically grab lettuce from your hands (after yelling at you for it!).

Pecan is quite nervous of being handled and prefers her own space, while Cashew is more confident with people. They can be adopted just as a pair or could join other piggies (max 1 male per group!).

Minimum housing requirements:

Enclosure with at least 20 sq ft on one level, equivalent to a 5×3 grid C&C.

Adoption fee: Minimum donation of £120 for the pair (each girl cost us £160 to spay)

Please read our guinea pig advice pages prior to applying to adopt.
