Rupert and Meadow arrived separately with us over 2 years ago and have since found friendship with each other while in our care. They’re a happily bonded pair, with Meadow being in charge!

Rupert came to us as his previous companion had passed away. He proved difficult to bond, which is why we chose to bond him ‘in-house’. He’s a lovely rabbit, and will enjoy a head rub once he’s got to know you, but can be nervous and very much dislikes being handled for health checks and weigh ins.

Meadow was part of a large rescue of rabbits from a hoarding case. Unfortunately she does have a chronic respiratory infection (snuffles), caused by the bacteria bordetella, which has resulted in some permanent changes to her nasal passages. She hasn’t required any medication since an initial course of antibiotics over 2 years ago, and can just be a little sneezy/sniffly. Of course it is possible this could flare up in the future. This hasn’t shown any signs of having spread to Rupert.

Meadow is the more confident of the pair but would still rather keep her feet on the ground. Both are very food orientated and love hay, fresh herbs and forage! They run straight to the door of their enclosure whenever anyone is near, ready to mug you for snacks!

As Rupert has been difficult to bond, we are looking to rehome these two just as a pair.

Both bunnies are neutered and fully vaccinated, including Yuravac.

Minimum housing requirements: Permanent 24/7 access to an enclosure at least 3x2m. This must be bunny-proofed and predator proof. Meadow & Rupert can live indoors or outdoors. They do like to dig and destroy things!

Adoption fee: Minimum donation of £120
