Name: Chutney & Marmalade
Species: Guinea Pig
Sex: Chutney – spayed female, Marmalade – castrated male
Age: Approx DOB Nov 2023
Status: RESERVED
Chutney & Marmalade came to us after being handed in to our vets apparently having been found dumped in a carrier at a bus stop on an incredibly cold day in January!
Marmalade (ginger & white) had already been castrated, and we have since had Chutney spayed which removes all risk of ovarian cysts and uterine tumours common in female piggies.
Chutney is the more confident of the pair and is first out to grab some food. Both are, like most piggies, very food driven and this will likely help their adopter win them over! Both pigs prefer to keep their feet on the ground, interacting with people on their own terms.
Minimum housing requirements: 20 sq ft of floor space on one level – this is equivalent to a 5 grid x 3 grid C&C enclosure. Chutney & Marmalade can live indoors or in an insulated outdoor setup (shed/garage) with a heat source in winter.
Adoption fee: Minimum donation of £100 for the pair.
Please read our guinea pig advice pages prior to applying to adopt.
